Telelift in Charité Berlin, Germany

With more than 3,000 beds the Charité is one of the largest university hospitals in Europe. The clinic is one of the most important teaching and research facilities in Europe. More than half of the German Nobel Prize winners for medicine or physiology come from this facility.

 

The Charité Berlin has been using a Telelift system with a total of 13.2 km of track length, 107 stations and 344 trolleys since 1986. The system's transport performance is approx. 3,900 transports per day.
In connection with the expansion of telemedicine in the clinic for anesthesiology with a focus on operative intensive care medicine at the Charité Campus Virchow-Klinikum, the Telelift system is also being expanded.
