Telelift in the CVUA Sigmaringen, Germany
The Chemical and Veterinary Examination office (CVUA) Sigmaringen / Germany employs a qualified and interdisciplinary team of scientific experts (food chemists, veterinarians, biologists, chemical engineers, chemical technician) with approximately amount of 110 staff members. In 2 connected buildings with total floor space of 4600 square meters modern laboratory-, administrative and social rooms are available.
In order to optimize transportation of laboratory samples, a MultiCar conveying system was installed for transportation of food samples from goods receipt area to various laboratories within the building.
Food samples are transported in plastic containers with size of L 600 x W 400 x H 250 mm by MultiCar trolleys with controlled load handling devices.
The installed Telelift system, improved the process significantly. Samples can be assigned directly to the respective laboratories. In this way, throughput times were shortened significantly, which allows a more efficient use of work capacities.
